Adam + Agnes | Beautiful Hawaiian Wedding

Every wedding photographer loves to photograph a destination wedding, especially in a nice warm, tropical place (especially during the cold winter months!) Well, of course I am no exception so when Agnes asked me to photograph her wedding in Maui I was (not so secretly) jumping for joy.
I mean we’re talking about Hawaii here. Wooo hoooo!!!

After a looooooooong couple of flights, I finally arrived at dusk and even from what little I could still see, it was breathtaking. Agnes and Adam picked me up, along with her parents and his grandparents. The entire family made me feel welcome and at ease right away.

The next afternoon, I left my little hotel room and went off to meet Agnes and Adam. I was immediately stuck by what a gorgeous couple they are.
They were going to make my job easy. :-)
Once they were dressed and ready, we headed off to the beach. ”Big Beach” actually.
We took our photos, hopped back into the limo and proceeded to the ceremony site. The ceremony took place at the Sugarman Estates in Maui. As you’ll see in the photos it was a beautiful location with spectacular views. I don’t think I’ve seen a more gorgeous ceremony ever.

What makes me happy

Typically, I hate the winter. I hate to be cold. I think I’m usually about 10 degrees colder than the rest of the population on any given day, so winter is just not my thing.
Sometimes though I have to admit that it is beautiful. I love to look at winter (especially from inside, by the fireplace!).
The way the snow and ice can turn a bare tree into a work of art is something that anyone who loves beauty can appreciate.
And then there is the way the snow can turn a boring background into a high key portrait. Especially when your subject has just a hint of freckles!
This makes me happy.
