Booking Policy and Frequently Asked Questions


Booking Policy

In order to secure your wedding date a 50% deposit and a signed contract are due at the time of booking.
The remaining balance is due 4 weeks prior to the wedding.

For weddings booked with a month or less time before the wedding date, the full balance and signed contract are due at the time of booking.


Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Bookings:

1.  Do we get all the images on USB and can we print them ourselves?

You get all the usable edited images on USB with a release, allowing you to reprint your photos when and where you want.
If an image is deemed unsuitable do to blurring, blinking, unattractive expressions etc…., they will not be on your USB and you will not receive them.

2.  How many images will I get?

There are no minimum number of guaranteed images as this really depends on the dynamics of your wedding, including time spent travelling vs. shooting but we average 50 images per hour after editing.

3.  Do we get the RAW files?

RAW is the format in which the images are taken.  However most people can not open a RAW file without special photography software.  The images are edited from RAW and then are processed into jpg, and delivered to you in this format on your disc.   RAW unedited files are never delivered to the client.  All images must meet my expectations for quality before they are given to the client.

4.  Does your coverage have to be continuous?  When does your coverage start? What about during dinner?

My coverage starts from the moment I arrive at the first location and is continuous until we are finished the number of hours you have purchased.   If we are there throughout dinner then we require a meal and our coverage continues throughout the dinner period.  This is often when speeches or games are done so we are actually working while we eat.

5. I’ve noticed that all of your packages include one photographer.  Can we add a second?

Yes, you may! If you would like us to cover two locations at one time, we can accommodate this request.
However my second shooter does not drive so time must be allowed for me to drop her off and pick her up.

6. Can you meet us at a coffee shop before we book with you?

I love meeting with clients and I encourage this process as I believe sharing this special day with you requires a good connection between you and us.  For numerous reason however, I no longer meet clients anywhere except in  my home-based office.   I would be honoured and thrilled to meet with you here however and can make an appointment to meet with you most weekday evenings.
Skype or Facetime meetings can be arranged if you are not located within the GTA or Milton area.

7. 50% is a large deposit.  Is this negotiable?

After 14 years in the wedding industry I have learned that a 50% deposit ensures that both you and I are committed to working together. I will not back out of the contract for a higher paying client and you will not cancel the contract on a whim . It also makes paying the balance an easier load for you, when all of your other wedding bills come due just before the wedding date.

8. I’ve noticed that the final balance is due before the wedding.  Can we pay you on the day of instead?

Paying your balance a month before the wedding gives us time to rectify any accidentally bounced cheques if necessary.  It also makes it nice for you to not have to carry cash on the day of the wedding when you should be concentrating  on your day and not payments to vendors.   At the same time that this balance is due, we also set up an appointment for your final consult.  Here we review your itinerary and special wishes and have the opportunity add any additional hours you may need after reviewing your itinerary.
