Alison and Ronny | Toronto City Hall

On February 2nd, 2015, the city of Toronto had a snow day.
Literally every business, every person and every school took the day off due to very hazardous road conditions from a blustery storm that had just blown in.
Some people however, don’t get snow days. Policemen, Firemen, Nurses, Doctors and…oh yes, wedding photographers!

Alison and Ronny live in Israel.
They traveled all the way to our beautiful snowy city, to have a simple intimate wedding at Toronto City Hall.
That morning I left my house hours early not knowing what road conditions were ahead of me.
With a full jug of window washer fluid and with some careful maneuvering of my vehicle, I made it about an hour early.
As I waited for the bride and groom to arrive, I watched the live news taking place at City Hall while sipping coffee in the cafeteria of City Hall.

And then, like always, there was a wedding.
A beautiful, simple, intimate wedding.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.  These really are some of my favorite weddings.  The weddings that happen for love.
Not to impress others.  Not for the show.  Just simply for the love.

This very brave couple bundled up after the ceremony and warmed each other in the -30 degree weather.
Honestly, looking at them, you’d never know how very cold it was.
Here are the highlights:
